Match striker capsule, glazed in Sand

Handmade ceramic capsule.

Hand thrown on a potter's wheel, in a speckled clay and glazed in Sand.

The inside of the jar lid is unglazed and has a ribbed pattern to provide a rough surface for striking.

Due to the handmade nature of these capsules, sizes vary slightly.
Approx size 3-3.25” tall x 2.25” wide
*Intended to fit larger 2.25" long matches.

To use this capsule as a match striker, the matches must be Strike Anywhere. Safety matches will not work.

Strike match on inside of lid, from base to top, against the ribbed pattern. For best results, keep the striking surface dry and grease free. Use the overturned lid to let your spent match cool after extinguishing.

Matches not included, due to shipping restrictions.

Paulova ceramics are entirely handmade. Slight variations in glaze, size and surface texture are to be expected. If you are very particular about exact size, color, or perfection, feel free to contact me before placing an order.
